Taking children out of class for annual holidays is highly undesirable as evidence shows that taking a child out of school during term time can hinder progress.

Absences for non-essential reasons, e.g. holidays, shopping, parties, theatre visits, etc., will be counted as unauthorised absence.

Please note that it is proven that any absence from school over two weeks in any year will have an effect on overall standards achieved.

If you do intend to take holiday during term time we ask that you inform us by letter.
